My name is Emma Harries and I’m an oil painter. My work is mostly portraits and is about personal traumatic experience, intimacy and closeness. I am inspired by modern artist issues, wood and Renaissance period artist Caravaggio and Rembrandt, like them I have used chiaroscuro, closeness and intimacy to inspire a immersive experience into my life which relates towards others who may have experienced trauma.
